Beyond regular learning
Being an expat myself and a 6 language polyglot with graduation in foreign languages, one thing I have learned is that taking classes is not enough. 

To speak, you need to speak! I emphasize conversation in all types of lessons. We will talk about different topics from the very beginning. Living with the langauge is the key. 

Beside of helping to develop inovative learning habbits, I create customized websites with materials for each student. This way, students have their online textbook at their disposal at any time.

One-time Portuguese pronunciation class

A one-time class designed for anyone needing to learn or review Portuguese pronunciation rules. Based on years of experience with students of various nationalities, I tailor the explanation for speakers of English, German, French, Spanish, Czech, and Scandinavian languages. The lesson lasts approximately 120 minutes, with additional time if needed to ensure thorough understanding.

Mgr. Caïssa Enkt

I recognize that merely holding a degree in foreign languages is not sufficient for excellence in lecturing.

Coming from a bilingual family, foreign languages have been a constant in my life. Since 2016 it has been enforced through living, studying and working abroad on the journey to pursuing my livelyhood.

Presently, I am a traveling lecturer and digital nomad, primarily based in Lisbon and winter time I often spend in Rio de Janeiro. I embrace both the identities of an "alfacinha" and a "carioca". Back at university I could not decide which Portuguese language variant I prefer, therefor I decided to master both European and Brasilian variants through self-teaching and integration.

My approach to teaching, rooted mainly in communicative and direct methods, is characterized by lively classes imbued with a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Each lesson is an opportunity to share authentic language and culture, tailored to the preferences of my students.

I ensure every student follows their learning progress and leaves each session feeling enriched.

Graduation

I hold a Master degree in Foreign Languages from Palacky University. My academic journey took me to the University of Porto for a year, where I specialized in Portuguese and Lusophone Studies as an undergraduate. During my master's program, I enriched my expertise with a year at the University of Lisbon, focusing on Portuguese Language and Educational Linguistics. In 2022, I wrapped up my studies with an awarded research. These experiences have shaped my deep understanding of both Portuguese and language education.

Certifications

My passion for my today's profession drives me to continuously expand my expertise. Alongside holding five diverse language certifications, I have earned a TEFL certification and a specialized certification in Teaching Business English. I have attended diverse seminars and workshops to stay at the forefront of language teaching trends and methods, ensuring my approach is both innovative and effective.

Work experience

Besides my full-time language lecturing initiated 2020, I bring a rich tapestry of international experience. I have lived, worked and studied in Belgium, Czechia, the USA, Portugal, and Brazil. Some highlights include a diplomacy internship at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Lisbon, language lecturing and translating for big companies and working with high-profile individuals. Additionally, I have volunteered lecturing children with NGO's in South America.

Interests

My love for exploring all corners of the world and being active keeps me pursuing many goals. May it be getting a yoga teacher certification in India, running a half-marathon, exploring world cuisines or learning programming. This spirit of curiosity and adventure extends into my teaching, where I bring the same enthusiasm to our lessons - and so do my students. This dynamics does not only enrich each other's lives but also make learning Portuguese an enjoyable journey.
